Depending on the season and the
specific location, weather on the
central Oregon
coast
can vary
greatly. One
thing you can count on is the water will be cold. It is
most important to bring a good attitude and a sense of adventure. Next is appropriate clothing and footwear, which helps in
maintaining a good attitude. Expect your feet to get wet entering
and exiting the boat. Waterproof sandals, aqua socks, or flip-flops
are appropriate. You may also want to wear insulated socks. Bring
several water resistant layers including a thin interior layer
(polypro, Capilene) covered by a thicker pullover (fleece). For
below the waist, swim trunks work well. A hat and sunscreen may be
necessary. Bring water and a snack packed in zip lock bags. On
full day trips lunch is provided. |
